It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again 2026

Summer is right around the corner, and it's definitely gonna have a nice day to... tour again! One of the most legendary names in rock music is looking to kick off an extended run of shows this year, as It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again with Billy Idol! Famed for his rise in the 70s as part of the London punk rock scene, and later kicking off his solo career as one of the leading figures of the MTV-led "Second British Invasion" in America, Idol made a mark in music history as one of the most respected icons whose influence crosses over new generations of artists and rock fans.  With big hits like "Rebel Yell", "Eyes Without a Face", and "White Wedding", he's dominated radio stations for decades and streaming platforms today. With plenty of Grammy nominations and a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, the man is keeping the legacy alive and kicking.

About Billy Idol

Born as William Michael Albert Broad, the man's stage name "Billy Idol" was coined after his chemistry teacher named "Bill Price". He was described as "idle" on his report card while Billy had previously shared how much he hated and underperformed in chemistry. In the end, it all worked out, of course as he chose to rock on instead.

"It was a bit of a goof, but part of the old English school of rock. It was a 'double thing', not just a poke at the superstar-like people... It was fun, you know?" Idol shared in ConcertVault interview from 1983.

In 1976, Idol joined the retro-rock band Chelsea as a guitarist, formed in West London. Frontman Gene October was the man behind Idol's iconic image, becoming his signature look after being recommended to use contact lenses and dyeing his hair blond with a crew cut. After a few weeks with Chelsea, he called it quits and decided to form a new band, Generation X. Billy Idol embraced his new role as the singer and frontman. Being one of the first punk rockers to appear on BBC's "Top of the Pops", Billy Idol shared that they were actually inspired by mid-60s British pop as they spice it up with punk attitudes.

By 1981, Idol kicked off his solo career as he made the big move to New York. Working with Bill Aucoin - Kiss' former manager, he released his self-titled solo debut album in 1982. It debuted at #45 on the Billboard 200 and hit the top five in New Zealand. As a priminent name in what was called the "Second British Invasion" of the US, as led by MTV, his songs "White Wedding" and "Dancing with Myself" were staples in the program.

When "Rebel Yell" came out in 1983, Billy Idol saw resounding success in his career, putting out hits like the title track, "Eyes Without a Face", and "Flesh for Fantasy". It's an era that marked his name as one that'll go down rockin' history books.

With concerts hailed as theatrical and nostalgic showcases of rock legacy, thousands of fans come together to be part of his all-out celebrations. His commanding stage presence and awesome talent never fails to please both longtime rockers and next-gen rockers.

Embarking on extended "It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again" run of shows this summer, you gotta be part of the rockin' party. The best seats are still available, so book those tickets now!
